My husband and me went to Miraj Hamman Spa this morning. It was a wonderful experience. Although we The location is walking distance from Granville Island. I called to book a gommage and massage for Nothing scandalous about this place.
It's just a really great spa in South Granville. He loves getting pampered so this a nice place to send him. When he first went to this spa he found it uncomfortable but now he's used to it.
This might be an amazing experience for those who have never been to a spa, never had a good massage or a great body scrub. The place itself is very small with no areas to spend extra time or relax. You are ushered in and out like a factory line and constantly made aware of their schedule.
The scrub is nothing I couldn't do myself in the tub with a good salt and brush. The scrub was only 15 minutes long which is minimal compared to other spas I have been to. They do not moisturize and oil you down afterwards so it didn't even achieve what I hoped for. And the massage was mediocre at best. Very little pressure and seemingly quite inexperienced masseuse.
I wouldn't call her a massage therapist. I get massages regularly so I admit I am particular but I also know that treatment was far below any standard I have had elsewhere. I would like to personally offer my apologies for your disappointment. We are a small intimate boutique style day spa which has been providing a cultural experience for our guests since opening in and our formula and technique for gommage has been consistent.
